The Victoria's Secret Fashion (you know, the "sexiest night on television") is airing on TV on December 8th, but the show itself actually took place last night. And as always happens, tons of press (and social media posts) give us a hint at what we can expect when we tune in to the televised event.
One notable highlight: Angolan supermodel Maria Borges walked the runway rocking her natural curls. This was her third Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, but the first time she walked with her natural hair, rather than wearing extensions or weave.

“I told my agent I wanted to walk in the Victoria's Secret show with my natural hair. I was nervous, but I had to do it. When they said 'yes' I didn't expect it, but I was so happy!" Borges tells entertainment reporter B. Scott.
Borges is all about natural hair pride; she first took a stand and went natural for the Givenchy fall 2015 show, according to Madame Noire. Last night she looked absolutely spectacular (and by all accounts killed it on the runway), and documented her excitement with the hashtag #MBMakingHistory.
There's a long history of popular media and society deeming natural hair to be somehow less beautiful than other hair types (which is frankly and obviously ridiculous). By embracing Borges' afro, Victoria's Secret is reaffirming that there's no one-size-fits-all look for sexy. And that's fantastic.
